From Startup to Success with Starter Company Plus

A recent graduate of Invest Ottawa’s Starter Company Plus program, Caitlin has transformed OMG Social Media Agency into a powerhouse of support for small businesses. With a mission to make social media management more accessible and affordable, Caitlin and her team help entrepreneurs gain visibility while freeing up their time to focus on revenue-generating activities.

“With what the OMG team creates, we aim to reduce over 80 hours of marketing work a month from the business owners’ plate,” Caitlin explains. “Now, there is still some work they need to do, but we aim to essentially give them 70 plus hours back in their month, allowing them to focus on revenue-generating activities.”

Growth and Expansion in 2025

OMG Social Media Agency has seen incredible growth, expanding from a one-person operation to a team of five in just a few months. With client demand rising, Caitlin anticipates further team expansion throughout 2025.

“The Starter Company Plus program played a key role in this transition,” Caitlin shares. “It helped us move from a sole proprietorship to an incorporated company and take steps toward creating a workplace culture that prioritizes creativity, competitive salaries, and employee benefits.”

Giving Back to the Community

Beyond her agency’s success, Caitlin remains dedicated to uplifting the local business community. OMG Social Media Agency was proud to be a category sponsor for the Businesswoman of the Year Awards, where Caitlin also served as co-chair. She also earned the Community Recognition Award for the second consecutive year, underscoring her commitment to supporting women in business.

Looking Ahead

With plans to expand its client base, team, and revenue, OMG Social Media Agency is poised for an exciting year ahead. Caitlin credits Invest Ottawa for helping turn her vision into a reality.

“Invest Ottawa helped take me from an entrepreneur with an idea to a business owner,” Caitlin reflects. “It gave me an understanding of what is needed to make my business a continuing success.”
